It doesn’t need to be a bright, sunny day to appreciate the impressive grandeur of our mobile carbon filters, but it doesn’t do any harm!
This particular VOCSorber® 30 unit is located at a large biomethane facility here in the UK, where it is used for biomethane purification, to remove hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and VOCs from the biogas stream, prior to grid injection.
The site was original designed to use two smaller fixed carbon filters, supplied by the biomethane OEM, but these proved insufficient to cope with the flow rate and impurity levels in the site’s biogas stream, requiring changeout every 3-4 weeks, so it was decided to make use of our flagship VOCSorber® units to improve process efficiency and dramatically reduce filter changeout frequency.
The site also uses two of our smaller Clean-Flo® VOCSorber® 2 units, to protect the site’s CHP (combined heat and power) engines – see inset images.

You can also find out more about our range of activated carbon products and services by visiting our stand at the RWM exhibition next month, at the NEC Birmingham. RWM, featuring Lets Recycle Live, is the UK’s leading exhibition dedicated to the resource and waste management sector. You can find us on stand R-M290 and free tickets can be obtained via this link.
