We installed two of our flagship 22 m³ AquaSorber® mobile carbon filters at a drinking water facility located in the south of England. This site had never previously used activated carbon filtration, which meant that our mobile units offered a convenient plug-and-play solution to meet their treatment needs, avoiding the need for costly investment in permanent filtration systems.
The FiltraCarb® activated carbon used in the AquaSorber® units was selected to remove trace organic contaminants detected in the borehole water, and can be reactivated at the end of its service life at our Immingham facility in Lincolnshire. These two units, manufactured in-house by our engineering subsidiary, are known as 22-100 AquaSorbers and belong to our “drinking-water-only” fleet. They feature stainless-steel pipework and approved internal linings. Each unit can process flows of up to 100 m³/h, significantly higher than alternative rental systems available on the market.
