Background

As part of the Grand Paris development program for the new Metro Line 15, Eiffage required a rapid and reliable solution for soil and groundwater remediation in a highly constrained urban environment.

Challenge

The remediation site, located in the dense Paris suburbs, presented several major constraints:

  • Night-time operations only due to site location restrictions.
  • Very limited space for trucks and equipment.
  • Challenging ground conditions, including narrow working areas and mud.

The solution provided needed to provide high flow capacity and robust handling of both contaminated groundwater and soil leachate.

Solution

Puragen supplied a complete mobile filtration installation, consisting of 4 Clean-Flo®  AquaSorber®22 units, each capable of up to 100 m³/h

  • 2× filters with granular activated carbon (GAC – CC50R)
  • 2× filters for sand filtration
  • Deployment supported by our REACT-Sys® spent carbon reactivation service
