We recently installed two of our flagship 22m3 AquaSorber® mobile carbon filters at a drinking water facility located in southern England. The site had never previously used activated carbon filtration, meaning that the use of our mobile units offered a convenient ‘plug & play’ solution to their purification requirements, avoiding the need for expensive investment in fixed filter systems.
The FiltraCarb® activated carbon within the AquaSorber® units was selected to remove traces of an organic impurity identified within the borehole water, and can be reactivated when ‘spent’ at our facility in Immingham, Lincs. These two units, manufactured in-house by our engineering subsidiary , are referred to as 22-100 AquaSorbers and are from our ‘potable only’ fleet, featuring stainless steel pipework and an approved lining. Each can handle a flow rate of up to 100m3/hour, considerably higher than alternative rental units available on the market.
