It has been a busy start to the year for our engineering team at Puragen Icon, with an ongoing high demand for new mobile carbon filter vessels and well as maintenance of our existing Clean-Flo® fleet.
Pictured here is welder-fabricator Paul, working on the shell a flagship VOCSorber® 30 unit, prior to it being sent for painting.
Mobile carbon filters represent a convenient and cost-effective ‘plug & play’ option for the purification of gas and liquid phase process streams, such as biogas and drinking water. They are supplied to customers’ sites pre-filled with our high quality FiltraCarb® activated carbon, and once the vessel is spent it is simply exchanged for a replacement unit at the customer’s location, with the used carbon being sent for reactivation at our dedicated UK facility. Our experience Site Services Team can assist with activated carbon vessel installation and/or removal, if required.
Various sizes of gas phase (VOCSorber®) and liquid phase (AquaSorber®) units are available, to suit a wide range of different applications, flow rates and treatment objectives. More more information, please see the relevant page on this website, or visit our YouTube channel where you will find introductory videos to our range of mobile activated carbon filters.
This particular VOCSorber® 30 unit, once complete, is likely to end up on a landfill gas (LFG) site either in the UK or France, where is it use to remove siloxanes and other VOCs from the biogas stream, to protect CHP engines and reduce maintenance downtime. These large VOCSorber® units are also commonly used in biomethane renewable energy gas-to-grid facilities, as well as for general odour control and VOCs abatement at industrial/waste sites.
