We would like to extend a warm welcome to the latest addition to our commercial team.
Russell McLean joins us as Sales Manager, reporting to Sales Director Phillip Walters, and will be principally responsible for looking after our customers in the north of the UK and Ireland.
He is an experienced technical sales professional, with over 15 years in direct B2B sales roles and a further 10 years in laboratory and technical process support, in a variety of industries including water, dairy, contract laboratories and equipment. He even has previous activated carbon experience, having worked for a liquid filtration OEM in the past (mainly food & beverage and pharma applications). All of this means he has the knowledge and skill set to ‘hit the ground running’ in his new role, assisting customers solve their purification challenges with our activated carbon products and services.
Commenting on his new role, Russell said, “I am really looking forward to using my past experience in the utilities and water treatment industries to develop a successful and long-term career selling purification solutions to Puragen customers and helping the company achieve its ambitious growth objectives”.
Russell hails from Wigton, Cumbria, where he lives with his partner and two daughters. In his spare time he is a keen racing cyclist and is a former rugby player. He is pictured here at one of our mobile carbon filter service centres, during his first week of induction and training.
