Green Apple Award

We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a prestigious Green Apple Award 2023 for environmental best practice.

Last month we posted a story celebrating 10 years of spent carbon reactivation at our Immingham facility.  Well, this month we have cause for further celebration, as we are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a 2023 Green Apple Award for helping the environment!

These prestigious awards recognise environmental best practice around the world.  The Green Organisation organises the awards – they are an independent, non-profit, non-political, environment group established nearly 30 years ago.

Our submission explained the benefits of recycling spent activated carbons using our thermal reactivation process, rather than the use and subsequent disposal of virgin material, focusing on the huge carbon footprint saving (>90%) associated with our REACT-Sys® technology.

Congratulations to Andy Leatt, our Technical Director, for writing our award-winning submission, and to the whole of the Immingham team for their ongoing success in protecting the environment whilst sustainably recycling spent carbons used for water treatment and air & gas purification, a win-win for the planet!
