Last month we reported on the life-saving actions taken by one of our plant operators, thanks to the extensive first aid training he received at the Puragen Immingham facility, helping a man who had collapsed at a local park.
We recently completed another training session at the site and we are delighted to announce that all reactivation plant operators and supervisors, as well as a number of lab/R&D staff, have completed this comprehensive First Aid training.
The course, run by Joanne Bray at Restart Training, involved learning to use a defibrillator, CPR techniques, helping a person choking, the recovery position, dealing with catastrophic bleeding and the victims of seizures. Paediatric first aid was also included.
The Puragen Group takes all health and safety issues very seriously and goes the extra mile to ensure that as many employees as possible receive the first aid training that is so vital to equip them with the skills required to deal with incidents, both at work and in their daily lives.
Despite being a serious topic, you can tell from the photo below that everyone really enjoyed the training, and we extend our thanks to Jo for making the course so engaging.
