We were pleased to welcome to our award-winning Immingham reactivation facility a senior civil servant from the UK government’s Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra). Jonathan (Jon) Robinson is Deputy Head of Air Quality and Industrial Emissions, where his main responsibility is advising Ministers on issues relating to Industrial & Agricultural Emissions Policy.
Jon was given an overview of the general applications for activated carbon purification technology, focusing on issues of particular current interest, including the Clean Air Strategy (VOCs, ammonia and amines abatement), renewable energy production, plus the current hot topic in the water treatment sector, PFAS removal and destruction. He was then given a tour of the site, including our three reactivation facilities, our QC/R&D labs and the new BioCarbon production unit.
He was hosted by our Technical Director, Andy Leatt FRSC, together with CEO Jason Sutton and Marketing Manager David Reay.
We would like to thanks Jon for his time visiting our facility last week and hope he found it informative and interesting. Here at Puragen we are all very proud of the role we play in helping to purify air, water and biogas, with our circular environmental filtration solution, so we are always happy for stakeholders to visit our facilities to see first-hand how we achieve this.
