Spent carbon reactivation services from Puragen:
If you are a user of granular activated carbon (GAC) or extruded pellets and you are currently paying for disposal of your spent carbon media, as hazardous waste, then the Puragen team would like to hear from you. Perhaps you are using activated carbon for water treatment, odour control, VOC abatement or biogas purification.
Our Regen-Sys® thermal reactivation process is an efficient and cost-effective method for the recycling of spent carbons, offering a huge reduction in environmental impact compared with the disposal of spent material and its replacement with virgin media.
Correctly reactivated carbons can be used again and again in most filtration applications, and our state-of-the-art facility at Immingham, Lincs, is one of the largest ‘amber list’ carbon regeneration kilns in Europe. We also have a completely separate facility for handling ‘green list’ spent carbons, namely those from drinking water and food processing facilities.
To find out more about our Regen-Sys® thermal reactivation process please get in touch with the Puragen team, or come and meet us at one of our forthcoming exhibitions, ChemUK 2021 and RWM, both at the NEC Birmingham in September.
